On Wednesday this week we had a fabulous “freeze-frame” acting lesson. We watched clips from The Gruffalo and the children imagined being the characters in the scene. Every so often we stopped and two children froze in a pose to show what was happening. Can you guess who the Hedgehogs were being?
Thank you to everyone for your generousity during our Harvest Festival assembly!! Here we are with all our things to give.
We have been spending time looking at non-fiction texts this week. We shared what we learnt about African animals and then wrote facts about them.
We have also been doing lots of addition and subtraction in maths. Here we are using different resources to solve problems.
Have a wonderful weekend and we are looking forward to next week!
Next week in Maths we will be using language about time, for example, morning, afternoon, evening, first, then and next. For homework this week we would like you to keep a diary of one day in your life! You can choose whether to do a week day or a day at the weekend. How you present your diary is entirely up to you – you might want to sequence photos, write a diary entry, or film yourself talking about what you did when. Be as creative as you can.
Miley in Hedgehogs has lost her school cardigan. It does have a name label in and we have checked in all our PE bags. Please could you check at home to see if it has come back with your child by mistake.
In Maths we have been practising our number bonds to ten. For homework this week we would like you to make something to help with this learning. You might want to make a poster showing the number bonds, record your own song, or make up a poem or rhyme. You can choose any way you like of presenting your homework – be creative!
