Windy weather?

In science lessons, Hedgehogs have been observing and describing  the weather.

Today, they answered their question – What  is the best  material to use for a kite?

Even though there was very little wind today, Hedgehogs observed that both plastic and tissue paper are very good materials for making kites as they are very light. Fabric and sugar paper are not good materials for making kites as they  make the kites too heavy.

This week in English we have been looking at the story of The Little Red Hen.   We made a story map, the children made up actions for the story, wrote speech bubbles and acted out scenes from the story.  Today the children wrote their version of the story using story language.  Here are some examples of their work.
