Homework for half-term

There will be no spelling homework over half-term but it would be useful if the children could practise some of their phonic sounds.   These are shown in the reading diaries, but there are also some fun online games.  Some suggestions are:

Treat Day

Year 1 had a fantastic time on the field last week for their treat afternoon. Here we are having fun.

Keep up the hard work!

Art in Squirrels

We have been learning about Georgia O’Keefe in Art and how she liked to draw and paint flowers because they stay nice and still, and how she used smooth brush strokes to create her paintings. Here we are having a go at completing our own Georgia O’Keefe pictures (and our hands got a little bit messy!)

Art in Badgers

This week we were learning about shading with pastels and looking at the work of Georgia O’Keeffe.  The children were given a copy of one half of one of her paintings and were asked to complete the other half.  Here they are proudly showing the results.

Badgers learning Maths

Today in Maths the children were showing what they knew about number bonds.  We worked on number bonds to ten, twenty and a hundred.  Here are the children proudly showing their work.
