Hedgehogs wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

We started off our final week of term with our Christmas song performance where we sang beautiful festive songs to an amazing audience! Our families looked so proud ☺️

We have worked so hard this term our teachers gave us an extra special treat day on Thursday!

Be safe over the Christmas break, enjoy and have a joyous new year. See you in January.

What’s the time Mr Wolf?

We have been learning about time and the days of the week and months of the year in Maths. We have found our birthday month, ordered the events in our day, timed doing different activities and told the time using o’clock and half past. Here we are having a go!

Winter wonderland

We have been having learning all about Winter in Science and English. We have spoken about how the weather changes in the four seasons and then we have tried to think of some words to describe Winter. We came up with frosty, reindeer, snowflakes and hot chocolate! Can you think of any more? Here we are exploring some wintry things.

Homework due Thursday 20th December

We are continuing to learn about sound families in Phonics.  These are different letters that can make the same sound, for example, ‘g’ and ‘j’ can both make the ‘j’ sound, like in germ and jelly.

Spellings this week are therefore:

torch, witch, wish, white, brown, south, count, coin, royal, enjoy

Can you put them into sentences once you have learnt them?

In Maths, we are going to be practising our number bonds to 10.  Could you practise them as well at home? How do you know you have them all?

Have a lovely weekend.

Christmas Performance

We have been practising our Christmas songs this week for our performance on Monday 17th December at 09.15.  If you would like to practise them over the weekend, there are some links below (we are only doing the first verse and chorus of Jingle Bells)!
